The Friends of the Library support and encourage reading at all levels.  The money we earn from our  book sales  have provided the Children's Department with their reading rug, coat rack and listening center. We also provide support for various children's programs. 

The Friends Book Club  book is -  The Confession by John Grisham



Friends of the Library Book Club has announced the books to be discussed in the following months.  The discussions last an hour and are always on the last Thursday of the month from 5-6 p.m. at the library.  Books from various different genres were chosen this year.   February -INSPIRATION:  "The Shack" by Wm. Paul March - CLASSIC:  "The Trees" by Conrad Richter April - MEMOIR:  "The Glass Castle" by Jeannette Walls May - PERIOD FICTION:  "Mrs. Bridge" by Evan S. Connell June - TRAVEL:  "Honeymoon with my Brother" by Franz Wisner July - MIDWEST:  "A Lantern in Her Hand" by Bess Aldrich Streeter  August - FAMILY:  "Freedom" by Jonathan Franzen September - FICTION:  "Olive Kitteridge" by Elizabeth Strout October - YOUTH FICTION:  "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak November -  MYSTERY:  "The Confession" by John Grisham - December:  No Discussion
